Implementing Blended Learning Environment to Kindergarten Pupils using MODeL Approach

This study focused on blended learning in teaching the counting skills of Kindergarten Maalalahanin Pupils of Cabulay Elementary School. The primary aim of this study is to assess the use of Blended Learning using Modular and Online Delivery of Learning Approach in teaching Mathematics. Specifically, it sought to determine; (1) the profile of the parents in terms of socio-economic status, monthly income, educational attainment, and ICT tools used by the pupils; (2) the structure of the Modular and Online Delivery of Learning Activities; (3) the Feedback of the Parents on the MODeL approach; and (4) the Students’ Academic Performance before and after the implementation. The implementation of blended learning was done last August 2020 to February 2021. The study respondents were Kindergarten Maalalahanin Pupils who were enrolled during the SY 2020-2021 together with the parents. Using Slovin's formula with a 4 % margin of error, there were 30 respondents whose involvement was elicited for this study. The researchers utilized the ECCD Checklist and surveyed questionnaires in assessing the use of Blended Learning in teaching the subject. The said instrument underwent validation and was subjected to an item analysis procedure. Based on the data gathered in this study, it is evident that the blended learning modality through the MODEL Approach is effective in the Counting Skills.
